Washington DC, July 22,2023 – The Experience Africa conference, hosted by “The Voice of Africa,” brought an electrifying celebration of African and Caribbean culture to the heart of Washington DC. With its resounding success, the event set a new standard for diaspora conferences, captivating attendees with its array of offerings, rich cultural showcases, and meaningful contributions to charitable causes.

A Unity of Embassies:

The “Experience Africa” Global Marketplace showcased an unprecedented gathering of African embassies, each one presenting the essence and allure of its nation. Attendees were immersed in the rich traditions of Côte d’Ivoire, Eritrea, Madagascar, Malawi, Mauritania, Mozambique, South Africa, Tunisia, Zambia, and Trinidad & Tobago. With colorful displays, mesmerizing presence, and enticing delicacies, these embassies created an authentic cultural experience that transported visitors across the continents.

Diaspora Companies and Initiatives:

Venturing into the Global Marketplace, visitors were introduced to a wide array of diaspora companies and initiatives, each committed to making a difference. From informational vendors like the Mayor’s Office on Caribbean Affairs, WECAA, and UIU DMV, to A1 Garage providing top-notch garage services, the offerings catered to diverse interests.

A Healthy Future:

The Health and Wellness sector boasted an impressive lineup of vendors, including Global Health Catalyst, RND Associates, The Convenient Clinic, and The Ultimate Care LLC. We were also impressed to see MaEva Biyo Skincare and CrystaBella Beauty Care promoting self-care and self-confidence amongst the vendors. Our vendor space captivated both African beauty on the inside, and the outside. Together, they illuminated the vital role of healthcare in enhancing the well-being of the diaspora community.

Art and Merchandise Extravaganza:

The Global Marketplace transformed into a treasure trove of art, fashion, and merchandise. Attendees were captivated by the creativity and craftsmanship displayed by vendors such as The Doka Get, Art Creations by Milly, Mmuta Di Uto, Delkis Collections, and Omega Boutique. This vibrant collection of talents showcased the fusion of contemporary styles and traditional heritage, capturing the essence of African and Caribbean aesthetics.

Empowerment and Education Corner:

Dedicated to empowerment and education, the Global Marketplace featured the Louis Diene Faye Foundation and Image Consulting Group. A range of school organizations like GWADI, GWU ASA, National African Student Association, and Washington Global Public Charter School rallied participants to take charge of their incredible future.
