KINGS & QUEENS OF AFRICA FASHION WEEK
African fashion industry is brimming with pioneers and innovators who, under normal circumstances, would not have access to America Media and exposure from the World. With a large demographic of Africans and African Americans in The DC Metropolitan area, our goal is to bring positive enriching experiences of Black history through fashion and arts and to establish the DC Metropolitan Area as the center of Global International African Fashion and to assist in bringing awareness to different cultures through philanthropy and arts.
KQAFW is a unique, educational, powerful and innovative event with a purpose to shine light on Africa. It is a four-day fun event that provides great exposure, along to highlight of the accomplishment of kings, Queens and warriors of Africa include runway shows, art exhibitions, industry networking meet & meet, pop up shows and more.
We showcase the beauty of black beauty, African fabric, textile and design, models, make-up artists, stylists, photographers, globalize African history through African Fashion, arts, panel discussions & arts exhibitions and provide a platform for designers, entertainers and artists to showcase their talents and them to take advantage of global opportunities and gain international exposure while growing their businesses and to give back to the community as well as raise awareness about diabetes and Mental health issues.
Attendees can expect to interact with other members of American and African fashion communities and participate on panel discussions on African Fashion and Business and the role of African fashion in the global market.
KQA have showcased in partnership with numerous non-profit organizations in the DC Metropolitan Area DMV, Norfolk & Hampton Virginia to host Kings & Queens of Africa Lifestyle & Arts Expo showcasing and celebrating DC African fashion, creativity, and culture.
Louis Diene Faye Foundation will host several events leading up to African Fashion Week DC and the network will consist of fashion and jewelry designers, photographers, vendors, entertainers, entertainers, consumers, buyers, international partners, business leaders, local buyers, agents, editors, celebrities, and industry insiders to the vibrant African fashion and art.
