Not everyone responds well to traditional physical activity
programs such as running, swimming, walking, bicycling and playing team sports and
Louis Diene Faye Foundation has decided to provide African dance moves for the
promotion of regular physical activity. LDFF promotes health benefits of cultural
dance and use it as one method for preventing excessive weight gain and cardiac
risk, reducing stress, and increasing life satisfaction and promote their
self-esteem.

CULTURAL DANCE FOR HEALTH
It is a blend of the richness of African dance and music rhythms
with cultural journey to create a fun and exciting total-body workout and can
easily be tailored to fit the needs of a certain people or to reach a certain
goal.
Cultural dance is a practical form of physical activity to
promote physical and mental and is important to a healthy lifestyle and there
is a need for programs that encourage regular participation in physical activity
among African communities and people of Black ancestry.
