With a growing population and longer expectancy, the demand for quality health food, dietary supplement, organic products, forest foods and agro food products are continuing to rise, our mission is to inspire and encourage individuals to embrace a life of health, wellness, environmental and green living through awareness of natural, and organic products, nutrition, exercise and lifelong benefits of living a healthy lifestyle.

The festival is open to the public. The community event is organized by Louis Diene Foundation. The theme of the event is Treasure your Health: Destination Set for a Healthy Lifestyle, and it has its goal to educate and encourage residents of the District of Columbia and the DC Metropolitan Area and visitors to become physically active, to eat healthy, live healthy, live strong and live long.

Our goal is to bring the most up-to-date information from local, regional, state and national health, nutrition, wellness, fitness and art and entertainment experts to fair participants.

Our aim is to provide free health screenings in order to decrease the risk of preventable diseases and positively impact family health habits, to educate individuals on safety issues, to increase public awareness and understanding of the determinants of health, disease and disability; to teach self-care practices, to share information on achieving health equity, eliminating disparities and improving the health of all groups.

Our vision is to become the platform where participants connect with health, entertainment and heritage and business connects with culture and community, to increase economic development of fashion designers, clothing merchandising, performing and modeling and to embrace the visibility of the National Capital as a center of International Fashion and entertainment.

The festival will recognize community leaders and young role models in the African and people of African descent community (Community Leadership Awards).

It is an event promoting healthy lifestyles while featuring local vendors and providers. A list of organizations who will provide information (pamphlets, brochures) and often personnel to discuss their topics are Community Health Agencies, Local Charities and other providers.

Fun for All – The Fashion Show & Entertainment will help bring communities together and help celebrate community heritage, encourage young people to get involved in heritage activities, promote culture and to help build an understanding through the exchange of people, ideas and arts by featuring DC based artists including 13 emerging Fashion Designers,10 performers/artists/poets, 6 fitness and African dance instructors/groups, 5 poets, comedians, storytellers and many more
