PANTRY PROGRAM
We partner with other non-profit organizations and faith-based organizations (churches) to provide nutritious meals to help them carry out their mission.
For the past years we have served a total of 2, 817 ethnic meals in the DC Metropolitan Area. The meals were delivery upon request on a case-by-case basis to elderly, children, undocumented individuals, refugees, unhoused individuals, people who are homebound and underprivileged community residents.
The meals are authentically prepared and packaged by community leaders, cooks, chefs, nutritionists and residents in restaurants, community centers or churches and are delivered by volunteer drivers. We receive generous support of our community residents to buy meals for the needy.
We donate canned foods to individuals given by generous people/families in the community. In the future, we would like to partner with food banks and grocery stores to donate foods to community members. LDF achieves its mission with donation from generous donors, sponsors and business partners. We invite you to consider making a donation to help support this mission. FOOD PANTRY & MEALS
Your donation will help LDF to continue to serve home-made,
nutritious, and medically-tailored meals to individuals and families fighting
chronic illnesses such as diabetes, kidney disease, and cancer. LDF fills the
gap in our community’s growing need for nourishment and food security.
Achieve our goal to serve more made-from scratch nutritious, modified and medically tailored meals to the individuals and families fighting critical and chronic illnesses such as diabetes, kidney disease, cancer, HIV/AIDS and many more.
Chef Marie Joe’s Kitchen is LDFF’s food pantry and meal program providing free delivery of in-home and grab and go meals. The program serves nutritious meals made from scratch to individuals and families who have difficulty preparing their own meals. This program also supports homebound and homeless individuals who do not have the means to purchase and prepare nutritious meals.
